Butler County Commissioners and the county planning & zoning have adopted the new Comprehensive Plan & are working through the Data Center Regulations & (industry) Application draft now. View those regulations/documents here.

July 21, 2026 @ 6:00 PM – County work Session to address Public Input and make final modifications to draft.
August 4, 2026 @ 7:00 PM – Planning Commission with public hearing and consideration to adopt regulations and application for presentation to the County Commission for official adoption.

City work sessions are every other Wednesday, 5:30pm, both are at El Dorado City Hall.
CALL/EMAIL your city and ask why they are aggressively pursuing data centers, battery storage facilities, small nuclear reactors, and MORE when we the people don’t want them!
CALL/EMAIL your county administrator and commissioners to ask them for transparency, and their opinion on data centers and emerging industry in Butler County.
